CMC Announces New Appointment to Board of Directors

Lisa Lambert brings extensive experience to CMC Microsystems’ Board of Directors

November 15, 2024: CMC Microsystems, Canada’s leading hardware accelerator and facilitator, is pleased to welcome Lisa Lambert to our Board of Directors. Lisa has dedicated her career to driving innovation at the crossroads of science, technology, and society. She will play a vital role in setting CMC’s strategic direction over the course of her three-year mandate.

As CEO of Quantum Industry Canada (QIC), a non-profit, industry-led consortium committed to advancing Canada’s quantum technology sector, Lisa is uniquely positioned to champion growth across all of CMC’s strategic technologies – particularly quantum, which encompasses a range of advanced technologies that intersect with CMC’s mission.

CMC provides quantum computing services for industry, including design and implementation of industry-specific quantum computing use cases, quantum hardware services for the entire design-test-fabricate cycle of superconducting, and silicon photonics quantum devices, and quantum training, and talent development services.

With FABrIC, a five-year, $223M project to secure Canada’s future in semiconductors, ramping up, we are excited to have Lisa join the CMC team to help guide us through this critical phase for the Canadian semiconductor ecosystem.
